WGTB Son Parc Golf Mixed American Greensome at Hazel Grove |
Fun In The Sun For Northenden Duo A FULL field of competitors enjoyed a fabulous course and excellent weather conditions as they competed for some fabulous prizes in the first WGTB Mixed Pairs competition of the season at Hazel Grove. The Hazel Grove always presents a golfing challenge and the greens were in very sharp form after hosting a PGA pro am on the previous day and putting proved to be the key to success. On offer to the winners was a dream golfing break for four to the Son Parc Golf Club in Menorca, which recently hosted the Balearic Islands v Cheshire Juniors match. |

Hugh Brown with Graham Culpan & Anne Croasdale |
On hand to follow the proceedings and
hand out the prizes was Hugh Brown of Bramhall Golf Club, the owner of Son
Parc. And taking the top prize were Northenden’s Graham Culpan and Anne Croasdale with a fantastic haul of 43 points in the increasingly popular format of American Greensome. Graham, seven handicap, is a Manchester fireman and he certainly extinguished the fire in the greens with some great putting to set up the winning score with able assistance from the steady play of 23-handicapper Anne. |
