"Professionals and amateur’s rotate in
successive years and I follow on from Bramhall’s highly regarded pro Richard
Green. "I am hoping for a dry winter to enable us to get through our busy fixture list which gets full support from club pros and has a variety to suit all categories of golfer during the season’s with winter competitions each week as well as the hugely popular team knock out competitions among our 110 member clubs during the summer months. "In the time that I have played in the Alliance I have met some very good golfers but above all they are nice friendly people who are a pleasure to be with. "The Alliance is very lucky to have such dedicated officials as President John Dowd, secretary Bert Thompson, treasurer George Hill and vice President Dave Dawson. "If your club is affiliated to the Alliance you can enter the competitions and all details and entry forms are sent to all of the clubs on a regular basis and I would urge you to enjoy the Alliance camaraderie." |
