Davenport’s dynamic duo make their’s a double SALE Golf Club was in magnificent condition for its annual staging of the Manchester Alliance Hancock Trophy for Mixed Foursomes. Some testing pin positions on superb greens made points hard to come by. But Davenport assistant pro Graham Cox and his partner Linda Lomas made light of this as they posted a fine 39 points to win the pro am section and the Hancock Trophy.

This gave them an Alliance Mixed double
of the White Cup, which they won in March at Chorlton, and the Hancock
Trophy. They finished two points ahead of Hale’s Richard Booth and Tiffany Fielden with trophy holders David Smith and Kath Bentley (Swinton Park) in third spot with 35 points. Cheadle’s Andy Hall and Pam Ellison led in the am am section with 33 points from Gareth Clark and Tracey Capel (Manchester) winning a cpo on 31 points from home pair Moby and Cath Rawthore.
