The society Rose Bowl was won by Sophia Casey and Yvonne Chadwick in the final at Houldsworth.
Sale’s dynamic duo had won the first qualifying event at Davenport with a fine score of nett 65.
In the final they took on the other qualifying competition winners Iris Williams and Jean Utting of Didsbury and although both pairs found scoring difficult the Sale pair ended as comfortable winners and were presented with their trophy by society Captain Claire Peters from Houldsworth.
