Ciao Players Enjoy The Manchester ‘Magic’ |
The fourth annual Ciao Golf Day saw the Italian Restaurateurs
and their friends enjoyed a fantastic day at the magnificent Manchester Golf
Club at Hopwood Cottage. The championship course is a great test of golf and the off-course facilities and hospitality more than lived up to the glowing reputation of Manchester Golf Club. There some fine golfers in the teams playing in the am am team format and there proved to be incredible winners in the Roach Bank Inn team from Pilsworth on the Heywood/Bury border. The fab four of Anthony Hooley 17 handicap of Bury GC, Gary Hill 18 Bury GC, Brian Kay 18 of Blackley GC and star of the day Paul Jones 15 from Swinton Park posted the huge total of 103 points to eclipse the field and to their joy they won a cheque of £1000 to donate to their chosen charity. |
