Charlotte Retains Her Title

MERE two-handicapper Charlotte Wild retained her Cheshire Junior Championship and the county junior captaincy with a two-shot win at Disley.

All competitors had to battle with very difficult weather conditions of a near gale-force wind and blustery showers but to the credit of them all they battled through to complete their rounds.

Charlotte posted 82 the best round of the day to beat Bramhall’s rising star Bronte Law by two shots.

Bronte, 12 years and five handicap, showed her rich promise as she won the u15 Scratch Trophy, presented by Ruth Whitehead, by five shots from Heswall’s Harriet Wilson.

Bronte also picked up the u13 scratch trophy beating Delamere Forest’s Flossie Logan 92.
