Prestwich Golf Club playing hosts to the Balfour & Houldsworth G.S. Lancashire Trophy as part of their centenary year produced a home win as Craig and Karen Cuthbert came home with 38 Points to take the title by one point from Saddleworth's Geoffrey and Lillian Howarth.
Third place went to the Stand pairing of Paul Hadfield and Lindsay Haywood who carded 33 Points.
Craig Cuthbert +2 handicapper and a regular in the B&H Events was delighted to have won the trophy during the clubs big year and especially pleased seeing that his wife Karen had just received a shot reduction on her handicap which now stands at 19 going into the event.
Paul Hadfield who took third place with his partner Lindsay paid tribute to Craig and Karen for producing such a fine score with so few shots to play with.
The Prestwich Greens and hospitality was also a feature of the speeches made by the prize winners who clearly had all enjoyed the day.
